Shoul i destroy this………..?

I have a 4 year old creative zen microphoto and its my first ever mp3 player. I bought a 1g ipod touch after that and soon im upgrading to iphone 4g so i was wondering if you think i should keep my old clunker of an mp3 player as my first mp3/piece of technology or rip it to shreds by taking it apart?
